THE GUY

Eyewitnesses

WWII was at its height over 70 years ago. Simple math tells us that most of those who fought in that conflict have passed. The average age of WWII veterans is now in the mid-90s and they're dying at a rate of over 1,000 per day. Within a few short years there will be no one alive who can use the pronoun "I" when he talks about the War.

Jack Berger

The sole surviving member of Crew 23A of the 865th Squadron of the 494th Bomb Group, Jack Berger, 92, served with O.C. Kemp as bombardier of Rover Boys' Baby and completed 16 missions in the South Pacific over the Philippines, the Palaus, Marcus Island, Truk atoll, China and Japan.

And boy, does he have some stories. Give a watch.
